I have never thought of myself as much of a seeker… but in this short time in India I am realizing myself very much as a witness, a finder of sorts. Discovery is a daily occurrence if not an hourly one… I am finding transcendence in and out of meditation as abundant as the air that I breathe… It comes to me with the smallest of experiences and it heightens the impact of everything that see, touch or taste…
I live each day as it comes here… and it always seems to come with a marvelous experience no matter what I am doing, whether I am in a temple, a park, a market, a Vedic Observatory, or a restaurant… on this day, it was just a walk in my Delhi…
From the start Delhi greeted me with smiles and warm hearts… with colors and sights…
Every little thing seemed to be something worth noting… worth capturing…
I was not the only tourist on the streets this day… I figured this to be an American cow since it was on the wrong side of the street and could not care less…
It greeted me (in English of course) and then went on its way…
These guys were actually on the right side of the street…
but it seems to me they were in a no parking zone…
Then I turned a corner and was greeted by this beautiful boy… who is a bit camera shy…
but he warmed up a little…
and these hard working ladies… whose very smiles in the midst of such strenuous duties lightened my heart…
They seemed to enjoy getting a little bit of attention…
and the men just seemed to watch them as they worked… no comment…
yet this led me to discover a new and beautiful park that served as a great contrast and a purifier of sorts…
There was absolute tranquility there… only a few meters away from the busy road and the construction site…
It made me feel as though everything was smiling for me…
as I made my way through that transcendant path…
It felt as though I walked on wave upon wave of softness and beauty… the sun was brilliant and every color appeared to delight in glowing specially bright…
It was all so simple, so sweet, almost makes me shy to mention it… but it was full of bliss… and that is what is is for me… a walk through my Delhi…

Hi David,
Just thought I would check out your website. Beautifull pictures! Wow! I can so relate to them having just been there. The picture of the lady carrying the bricks is so elegant, the flow of her Sari and the bricks on her head are quite a contrast, but so elegant and beautifull. I’m really enjoying your pictures and your writing. Thank you. You have a nice way of putting your thoughts into words. It makes it easy to relate to.
I am back in Canada appreciating the Fresh Air of PEI.
It was great seeing you at the Clinic.

Hello David,
How was the khumba mela?
I feel as if I have been through one of the most intense periods of my life. India for the 1st time, Pk, and loosing my mother all at once. I was able to go to the funeral, thank god! I am back into “normal” life now, I just taught 2 ladies at the week end.
I do like the photos, it s like being back there .
Love
Annick
